Submission Guidelines

All submissions must be original works. By submitting your work you agree that: 1) the work is your own and not taken from an undocumented source, 2) that Primum Mobile Magazine is free to use the submission in its publications, and, 3) you, the writer, will retain the publishing rights of the submission. See below for specific guidelines.

Essays

Essays must conform to the philosophy of Primum Mobile Magazine, which can be found on our philosophea page. Responses to other articles should be directed to our Letters page rather than submitted as a self-contained article. Please send a query letter first with a brief outline of your article. If we are interested, we will request the whole article, though such a request is not a guarantee of publication.

Poetry

We will consider poetry of any form and any length, though the writer should know that the editorial staff of the magazine prefers formal poetry. Free verse will be considered, but even free verse should have a defined line, not merely random use of the Enter key. Poems without a form will not be published. Poems with rhythm and rhyme will be given preference.
