Editors and Friends

Paul Lytle: A site that collects some of the writings of Paul Lytle, one of our editors. Though we regularly run his essays and poems, Mr. Lytle is primarily a fiction writer, and some of his stories can be read here.

Louis A. Markos: As a writer, a speaker, and a teacher, Dr. Markos has too much work to be contained in PMM! His personal website helps fill in the gaps.

Per Fidem: Frequent contributor J.E. Heath's website, Per Fidem has essays on politics and religion, the home of the Texian Political Party, and an insightful blog.

Certain Victory: A Houston-area Christian Rock Band led by editor Paul Lytle. They concentrate on musicianship, with innovative arrangements and a full sound. The site features free downloads of some of the band's music.

Quick Story . . .: Paul Lytle's blog, which is mainly an excuse for him to tell stories from his life. He does not promise that all of them will have a point, but if you ever wanted to know more about one of our editors, this is the place.

History

Association for Renaissance Martial Arts: A center dedicated to reviving the once lost medieval and renaissance tradition of European sword-fighting, and where some of our staff are wont join in.

The Texas Courthouse: A collection of histories and pictures of county courthouses around Texas. The editors' personal favorite is Fort Bend's, but that is probably because some of them live there.

Literature

ABE Books: A great place to search for used and out-of-print titles.

Book-a-Minute: A riotously funny site that seeks to compress great works of literature into the fewest number of words possible. Perhaps it is true that we only hurt the ones we love.

Music

Caedmon's Call: Perhaps the musical embodiment of what this magazine is about, Caedmon's Call embraces history and mythology to a degree unheard of in Christian (or mainstream, for that matter) music. They occupy the range of music between folk and rock, and their lyrics a nice blend of heavy theology and quiet contemplation.

Thena Dare: An independent artist who has shown remarkable talent as a composer and lyricist both. Her first album leans more toward folk, her second toward jazz, but in either case her songs have unmistakable feeling. This is not light listening, but music that demands involvement.

Joel Hanson: Formerly (and occasionally) with PFR, Joel Hanson is now recording independently. His works focus on expressions of love, a subject difficult to discuss without sounding silly. Musically he is more serious than he was in PFR, and yet his melodies still retain their catchy playfulness. He is worth following.

Mythology

Encyclopedia Mythica: An amazingly comprehensive site on mythologies from around the world. This website has been invaluable to our research and general mirth and entertainment.

Religion

Castle Ministries: A Christian ministry serious enough about the Old Things to actually build a castle (though still in process).
