O Judge most just, above reproach You stand;
You carest not of titles, names, but weigh
all things carefully within Your hand,
and purely good is each the words You say.
O merciful Master, descended down from off
Your station great to pull this servant up,
to dress me in silk, to lift aloft
and set me at Your table so to sup.
O powerful Protector, Your sword is swift
and true; it smites the shadows drawing near.
Your shield and fortress are given as a gift,
and keeps me warm and leaves me without fear.
In all these names I plead, invoke, and call,
and you, my Father, answer to them all.
