All the dancing girls

by J.E. Heath

mong all the dancing girls,
there is just one kiss.
Sing to me a song
so I can fall in love.

I watch the night
as it surrounds you,
and all the stars shine
like they used to.

Let's not worry about the world,
it'll all be right tomorrow.

"I've missed this,"
you say.
All the sounds of the city
wash over us,
and the night air
wafts in through the window.

Upon this scene
we find our slumber,
our silence.

Amid all the noise,
we find each other,
falling into just one kiss.
