Not huddled nor hurried

by J.E. Heath

Let the rain fall around us,
in Heaven we will be whole.
You and I, our arms entwined,
as Holy Grace fills our soul.

Together in Love we hear
the soft song of gentle leaves.
Our hearts shall never depart
through winter chill nor warm breeze.

What a wondrous love it takes
to make a man want to live,
to turn from his loathsome self,
offer all he has to give.

Though earthly bodies be frail,
Godly Love ever prevails.
